General Tariq Majid, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) along with senior leadership of Pakistan Armed Forces including Admiral Noman Bashir, Chief of the Naval Staff, visited National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad and attended presentations on Exercise Maarka-e-Haq which is high mark of the professional pursuits at the Armed Forces War College and National Security College　 combining all levels of policy planning and strategy formulations for a conflict situation. Basing on the national security and defence policies formulated by the members of National Defence Course, the participants of the Armed Forces War Course presented their respective strategies and plans, which will be war gamed in next two weeks with special focus on Pakistan Army’s New War Fighting Concept.

Appreciating the quality of strategic and operational concepts presented by the members of the courses, General Tariq Majid complimented the NDU faculty for providing realistic framework for the Exercise ensuring good civil military interface. He also emphasised the need to focus on non traditional challenges stating that internal vulnerabilities posed the biggest threat to the national security today.

Earlier on arrival at the NDU, Chairman JCSC was received by Lieutenant General Muhammad Yousaf, President NDU.
