Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Kahlid Shameem Wynne, who is on an official visit to Indonesia, attended the inauguration ceremony of Jakarta International Defence Dialogue – 2011 (JIDD-11).   In a series of bilateral meetings Chairman met with H.E Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Minister of Defence, Admiral Augus Sohartono, Chief of Defence Forces and Air Vice Marshall (Retired) Djoko Suyanto, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs. Chairman discussed regional situation and matters of bilateral interest. He also emphasized on enhanced cooperation between both brotherly countries.
General Kahlid Shameem Wynne, also held bilateral talks and shared common views on regional and international issues on the side lines of JIDD with General Ma Xiaotian, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Peoples Liberation Army, Peoples Republic of China, Lieutenant General Richard Rhys Jones Chief of Defence Forces New Zeland and Mr Gerald Howarth, Minister for International Security Strategies United Kingdom.
