Lieutenant Colonel Syed Imran Haider who was seriously injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in North Wazirstan on 9th June embraced shahadat today in Combined Military Hospital Peshawar.
At Line of Control in Karela sector near Kotli today, at 1645 hours, a 65 years old lady Ms Roshni Begum was injured due to Indian troops unprovoked firing. She is resident of village Sawana Rajadini. She was grazing animals when hit by a bullet on leg.

In response to the statement of Mr Panneta about presence of Al Qaeda leadership in Pakistan’s tribal areas, a spokesman of ISPR said that Pakistan Army is already carrying out intense operations against ALQ and its affiliates who are a threat to security of our country and people. This includes pursuit and targeting ‘terrorists leadership and high value targets’. We expect US Intelligence Establishment to share available information and actionable intelligence regarding Al Zawahari and other HVTs with us enabling Pakistan Army to carry out targeted operations, spokesman concluded.
