Lieutenant Colonel Syed Imran Haider who was seriously injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in North Wazirstan on 9th June embraced "Shahadat" on 18 June 2013 in Combined Military Hospital Peshawar. :: Roshni Begum resident of village Sawana Rajadini got injured due to Indian troops unprovoked firing at Karela Sector on 18 June 2013 at 1645 hrs. She was grazing animals when hit by a bullet. ::

Rawalpindi - April 19, 2012: 

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani conferred military awards to the Army personnel in an investiture ceremony held at General Headquarters today.  A large number of senior military officials and relatives of awardees attended the ceremony.
 26 officers were awarded HILAL-E-IMTIAZ (MILITARY), 13 officers and 37 soldiers were awarded TAMGHA-E-BISALAT, 2 officers and 5 soldiers were awarded United Nations (UN) Medal. Medals of Shuhada were received by their family members.

Rawalpindi - April 19, 2012: 

Update Avalanche Clearance at Gayari Sector Siachen

To augment the search and rescue operation Ground penetrating Radars alongwith experts have been sent to Gayari.
Norwegian team has carried out survey and preparing map of the area for engineering guidance.
Meanwhile search operation continues at all sites with all available resources.  A total of 495 persons including 83 civilians alongwith 29 engineering machines (Dumpers, Dozers, excavators etc) are employed at the sites.

Rawalpindi - April 19, 2012: 

In an impressive ceremony, a batch of 900 security soldiers of the Strategic Plans Division graduated from the Baloch & Frontier Force Regimental Centres at Abbotabad today. Director General Security, Strategic Plans Division, Major General Muhammad Tahir was the Chief Guest.
Addressing the successful trainees, the Chief Guest appreciated the high standards of training achieved and highlighted the responsibilities and challenges ahead. He urged the soldiers to discharge their duties with utmost commitment and dedication so as to come up to the nations expectations. He appreciated the instructional staff that had trained this latest batch in line with international standards.
It may be recalled that the SPD has undertaken a comprehensive plan to significantly augment the capacity of its Security Force to ensure fool proof security of strategic assets. In the recent past four batches of the Security Forces have been trained at Baloch, Frontier Force Regimental Centre, and a batch of Special Response Force at the recently established SPD Training Academy. With the induction of these newly trained soldiers, the strength of the SPD Security Force touches a figure of 20,000.
