Rawalpindi - May 30, 2012: 
Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani visited Pasrur, today, for the Earth Breaking Ceremony of Pasrur Cantonment.
Besides its operational significance, the cantonment will open new avenues of prosperity and development in the area through creation of economic opportunities and civic facilities including better health and education infrastructure.
Later, at Sialkot, COAS witnessed the demonstration and competition of the new system of physical training called PACES (Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System) which is aimed at improving physical standards through scientific techniques. COAS lauded the standards achieved by officers and troops and distributed prizes to winners.
Earlier on arrival, COAS was received by Commander Gujranwala Corps, Lieutenant General Raheel Shareef and other senior officers.
