Rawalpindi - April 26, 2009: 

Lal Qila in Lower Dir has been fully secured after the successful operation by the Frontier Corps (FC) against the miscreants today. Number of miscreants have been killed; dead bodies of ten miscreants have been found in the Qila.
 People of Dir have taken a sigh of relief and are extremely jubilant. They chanted slogans in favour of FC, appreciated the brave action and assured their full support to FC.

Rawalpindi - April 26, 2009: 

On the request of Provincial Government and the people of Dir, Frontier Corps today started operation early this morning against suspected militants hideouts in Islamapura and Lal Qila in Lower Dir.  Heavy exchange of fire took place at Kala Dag and reportedly scores of militants have been killed including an important local commander. One person from Frontier Corps also embraced shahadat while 4 others were injured.
Till filing of this report intense exchange of fire was going on at Lal Qila. More details to follow.

Rawalpindi - April 26, 2009: 

Army Services Corps (ASC) Polo team won the Murree Brewery Polo Cup – 2009 by defeating President Body Guard Polo team in the final held at Rawalpindi Polo Club. His Excellency, Mr Rodolfo J. Martin – Saravia, Ambassador of Argentina was chief guest on the occasion and gave away the prizes to the winning and the runner up teams.
Army Service Corps (ASC) Polo team scored 8 goals whereas runner up team, President Body Guard Polo team scored 7 goals.
