Frontier Corps troops engaged suspected hideouts of militants in general area Maidan, lower Dir today. 

 Reportedly 20 militants were killed in the operation which commenced early morning Monday.  It may be recalled that 26 militants including an important militant commander Qari Shahid who was involved in the killing of DPO Dir alongwith other policemen and Ex District Nazim Mr Alam Zaib (Late), was killed during Sunday operation in Lal Qila.  Search and cordon operations are continuing in the area to capture / flush out militants.
