A contingent of Russian ground forces arrived Pak for 1st ever Pak- Russian joint exercise (2 weeks) from 24 Sep to 10 Oct 2016.
Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif visited National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) located near Kharian and inaugurated state of the art features to upgrade its infrastructure to accommodate foreign Armies and our own LEAs' growing demand for training with Pak Army. Addition of new facilities have turned NCTC as the best counter terrorism training facility amongst the contemporary Armies.

Vice Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral Khan Hasham Bin Saddique HI(M) visited coastal area including Turbat, Makran, Jiwani and Ormara to witness the operational readiness of PN Units exercising in the area. During his visit, the Admiral was briefed regarding the operational readiness of the troops and associated security aspects at Gwadar port particularly with respect to CPEC project to thwart any conventional or asymmetric threats.
