Mr. Mehdi Honardoost, Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa today.  Evolving regional security matrix and other issues of mutual interest were discussed, including measures against common threat of terrorism.
COAS said that Pakistan greatly values historic Pak-Iran relationship and the same shall continue based on mutual trust and respect for each other’s interests.

COAS signed  execution orderes (Black Warrants) of another 30 hard core terrorists who were awarded death sentence by Military Courts. The process expedited during Op Radd-ul-Fasaad. These terrorists were involved in committing heinous offences relating to terrorism including attack on APS Peshawar, kidnapping and slaughtering soldiers of Frontier Constabulary, attack on Saidu Sharif airport, killing of innocent civilians, attacking Armed Forces of Pakistan and Law Enforcement Agencies.

Rawalpindi - April 19, 2017: 

NUST students who won   international Championship on Longevity Design held in California, USA  on 30 March 2017 met Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ today . 20 countries participated in the competition. The theme for participants   was focus on improving the quality of life for individuals aging in their homes. 3 member NUST team, Awais Shafiq, Hooriya Anam and Arslan Javed was selected to top 9 teams from different universities across the world  by  a panel of judges of industries from Silicon Valley. NUST team designed Tremor Acquisition and Minimization (TAME) and defeated MIT Virginia Technology, Stanford, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Waterloo, Canada, Cornell, California, Berkeley and Beijing universities in final stage held at Stanford University .  TAME is a wearable device for real time pathological wrist tremor suppression to enable tremor patients perform routine task without assistance. COAS congratulated the team on this outstanding achievement.  Our youth is our asset and we are proud of their achievement for keeping the green flag high, COAS emphasized.
