Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad
Rawalpindi - May 9, 2017: 

1. FATA. IBOs conducted in Khyber and South Wazirastan. Security forces recovered  suicide jackets ,explosive cylinder , IEDs ,Anti tank mines and detonators.

A large quantity of arms & ammunition of various caliber including SMGs, pistols, 12.7 & 14.5 mm, Rockets also recovered from a abandoned terrorist compound in village Lalejai and Weshtonai area  of South Wazirastan agency.

2. In Punjab Joint search operations and IBOs conducted by Punjab Rangers, police and intelligence agencies in Lahore, Attock, Islamabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Shiekhupura, DG Khan, Rahimyar Khan and Rajanpur. Suspects apprehended along with arms and ammo.

General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, CJCSC met Australian Chief of Defence Forces, Air Chief Marshall Mark Binskin in Australia during his official visit. Matters of mutual professional interests with particular reference to global and regional security environments, were discussed.

CJCSC also held separate  meetings with other Australian Armed Forces Service Chiefs, Minister of Foreign Affairs and other Australian officials.

Rawalpindi - May 9, 2017: 

Army support continues for phase 2 of 6th Housing and Population Census. 1st Phase had concluded on 15 Apr 17 completing set target in 63 Districts of all provinces including AJ&K and GB. Census material of phase 1 from all districts across the country has been safely transported to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics in Islamabad under Pakististan Army’s protection.
Phase 2 is in progress and set to conclude as planned on 25 May 2017.
