Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa laid wreath at grave of Captain Junaid Hafeez Shaheed and met his family at Islamabad. Captain Junaid embraced Shahadat in Bajur on 13 November. COAS paid tribute to Shaheed and his family for their great sacrifice for the motherland.

Rawalpindi - November 17, 2017: 

Pakistan Rangers Punjab alongwith Intellegence Agencies conducted IBO  in Dera Ghazi Khan. During Operation 4 TTP terrorists / affiliates were apprehended. The terrorists were  involved in attacks and killing of Police officials in KP & Punjab. Automatic weapons including grenades were also recovered from the terrorists.

H.E Mr Deng Xijun, Special Envoy on Afghan Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, People’s Republic of China called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) today.

Matters of mutual interest including regional security issues with particular emphasis on Pak-Afghan border management and CT efforts were discussed during the meeting.

Visiting dignitary appreciated and acknowledged Pakistan Army's contributions and Pakistan’s sacrifices in War against terrorism .

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Headquarters Rawalpindi Corps. COAS was given comprehensive briefing on prevalent situation along LOC / Line of Actual Contact (LAC) and operational preparedness of the formations. While expressing his satisfaction on operational preparedness and response to Indian CFVs COAS said that there cannot be any let up for our preparedness for response against perpetual threat on our Eastern Border including LOC / LAC.

Earlier, Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza, Corps Commander 10 Corps received  COAS on his arrival at Corps HQ.

17 November 2017: Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa visited Awaran district. Besides reviewing operational aspects, he also visited newly renovated Govt Girls High School, Gajjar, which was destroyed due to earth quake and met with students and faculty. Commander urged the students to acquire quality education and professional skills. Pakistan Army has provided furniture, 2 school vans, established Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs and re-built 2 primary schools on to provide quality education facility.

Army has also self established a mini market, Vocational training Centre and has donated an ambulance, complete medical equipment and medicines for the Rural Health Centre.

A group of 250 students and faculty members  of  Institute of Business Administration Sukkur, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khair Pur and Degree College Pano Aqil spent day with Army at Panu Aqil Garrison. The visit was aimed at letting students know about routine functioning of Pakistan Army formation and its capabilities.

The students  witnessed arms and equipment display, small arms firing at ranges and a demonstration on action by Quick Reaction Force.

The students applauded the state of morale, commitment and professional competence of the formation and expressed their gratitude for being provided a life time experience and opportunity.

FC Balochistan conducted an important  IBO near Alandur, Abdul Rehman village, Turbat  on  presence of terrorists. As soon the troops cordoned suspected area terrorists opened fire. During exchange of fire terrorist  Younas Taukali identified as  one of top 8 BLF commander was killed 20 kms west of Bulada, 25 kms North of incident site from where 15 dead bodied were recovered.  Terrorist Younas was involved in killing 15 innocent people belonging to Punjab  on Nov 15 .  He was also  involved in laying IEDs ambushing FC convoys and killing many civilians including

a. Killing of Rehmat Ullah Shohaz (founding member of BNM; later surrendered).

b. Execution  of Ghulam Jan (Lala Nazir cousin).

c. Killing of Akram Hayathuk .

d. Killing of Habib Ullah S/O Taher

e. Execution of Saddam .
