Rawalpindi - August 22, 2017: 

Lieutenant General Mahmoud A. Fraihat, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, Jordan Armed Forces, who is on a three days official visit to Pakistan, called on General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chairman JSC at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi.

Besides security and regional issues, matters relating to enhance the level and scope of bilateral military engagements and cooperation were also discussed. The visiting dignitary applauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in fight against terrorism.

Earlier upon arrival at Joint Staff Headquarters, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, Jordan Armed Forces was presented a tri-services guard of honour.

A nine member Afghan media delegation visited ISPR and interacted with DG ISPR. They were briefed on efforts by Pakistan towards peace and stability along Pak-Afg Border and role of media for its rightful projection. The delegation is on a weeklong visit to Pakistan, visiting different places including NWA.

Lieutenant General Mahmoud A. Fraihat, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Jordan Armed Forces called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ today.

Matters of mutual interest including strengthening of bilateral security and defence cooperation between the two brotherly countries were discussed during the meeting.

The visiting dignitary acknowledged Pakistan Army's achievements in fight against terrorism and continued efforts for peace and stability in the region.

Mr Essa Abdullah Al Basha Al-Noaimi, Ambassador of UAE to Pakistan called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa to bid farewell at the end of his tenure in Pakistan.

Matters of mutual interest including regional security issues were discussed during the meeting. The visiting dignitary acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s contributions for peace and stability in the region and pledged to keep working for better relations between two brotherly nations.
